On Our Way

by The Brummy Brothers

“On Our Way” is The Brummy Brothers’ debut full-length album, produced by Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth. The album allows the band to share the composite of their songs written in their time together and represents the bands high energy, modern string band style. The record incorporates harmonizing voices, fantastic instrumentation, and great solos.

After the Brummy Brothers’ March 2014 show at the Brooklyn Bowl with Cornmeal in March, Live for Live music wrote. “With veteran jamgrass stalwarts like Yonder Mountain, Cornmeal and Railroad Earth well into their second decade of performing, it is rewarding to witness a fresh batch of sounds from a multi-talented band clearly adept at successfully taking the reins of the genre into the bright future”.

Railroad Earth’s Carbone was insistent that “On Our Way” be created with the highest standards in order to put his name on this project. Carbone heard the initial tracks before accepting us a client, he likened us to the Greensky Bluegrass in their early years. Carbone put The Brummy Brothers through two days of pre-production, which he refers to as “boot camp”. Greensky went through the same “boot camp”, when they worked with Carbone on their first two albums.

This album was recorded at Mix-O-Lydian Recording Studio in early 2014 with engineer Don Sternecker and producer Tim Carbone. It was mastered at Mark Dann Recording by Mark Dann.

Released May 13, 2014.
